TeuxDeux – simple online todo app

I usually find it difficul to keep track of tasks I need to do throughout the day, especially when it comes down to breaking down a large task into smaller, more manageable ones and then actually managing them. So I was keeping an eye out for a simple, clear, app (other than notepad or textpad) to help me to keep track of my tasks, something that was “cool” and would make me actually want to use it. Enter TeuxDeux, a simple, designy, free, browser-based to-do app.
TeuxDeux is the brainchild of swissmiss and Fictive Kin. Swissmiss said that the idea came to her because:
I have tried pretty much every to do-app there is but always wanted a different layout or feature set, mostly, LESS *fewer* features. I figured out what works for me (a weekview, with the ability to check things off) but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
So, she got together with Fictive Kin, designed it and they created their own.
It’s currently free and very simple to use, mainly containing of a listing of the days of the week and allowing you to add tasks and remove them or cross them off for each day. Tasks that haven’t been completed the previous day are automatically moved onto the next day, thus ensuring that you don’t forget to do them. There is also a section for “someday” tasks which remains at the bottom of the screen.
The look is clean and simple, which is something that swissmiss strived to ensure, and I’m a big fan of minimalist websites, so I love the clean layout.
Whilst I’ve only been using it for a day, I’ve already found it useful for keeping track of the smallest of tasks and it will remain a permanent open feature on my desktop. Highly recommended.

swissmiss is God. No question. When I die, she’s gonna be there, talking about cool stuff and good design!
